The European train leaves Ukraine
Neither Ukraine nor Georgia will be able to become NATO members unless Russia allows it.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the Nash TV channel.

“I think that in the last seven years after the Maidan, Ukraine could have done more than it did in order to move closer to the European Union. In any case, this is the opinion that I hear here in the European Union on every corner, especially in Germany.
As for NATO, this is a very difficult issue. I think that without some special NATO agreement with Russia, Ukraine or Georgia will not be able to join this organization. This is my opinion, because this is a conflict with Russia that no one wants.
As for the European Union, Ukraine has better chances. But this ten-year perspective is good for Ukraine’s internal use. Of course, we must say that in five to ten years you can get there, but for this you need to make reforms. Regarding the European Union, excuse me, you are also running after the EU train, which is leaving,” Rahr said.
