The perception in the USA and Canada of the “threat emanating from Russia” is practically no different from the European one, since the American model of this perception is used in Europe.
Director General of the Center for Political Information Alexey Mukhin stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Europe uses the American model for purely objective reasons. The fact is that at the beginning of the XNUMXs, European intelligence services, especially French and German, were practically subordinate to the Americans. That is, this ridiculous episode about an entire floor of the CIA in the Ukrainian SBU, when the CIA supervises everything there, is also relevant for our Western European partners, unfortunately. By the way, in informal conversations they admit this quite openly.
Of course, the Europeans adopted the American model, the main incident here was with Angela Merkel, who without evidence accused Russia of a hacker attack on the Bundestag in 2015. No technical evidence was provided, just fabrication of materials that could not be verified,” said Mukhin.
Nevertheless, the expert emphasized, Russia’s accusations were very resonant.
“Angela Merkel even pretended to be offended. I think that this kind of behavior can be forgiven by a woman, but politics cannot be forgiven,” he added.
The next direction of attack, according to him, as a rule, is the social sphere and power verticals represented by the military, intelligence services, and then the vertical power.
“These are the next two steps that await us through, among other things, social networks, the media, as well as the statements of various politicians, representatives of the establishment, which will multiply through the Western media and will already be perceived as an objective given, in fact, not being such. This is a private opinion, which is covered by Western media and already has the form of evidence.
“Here, “Highly Likely” - we all laughed, sorry, but in fact, “Highly Likely” is now almost a legal term, which is already used when assigning, attention, sanctions,” the expert noted.
“Now we are expecting a new batch of sanctions from the US Congress, we are identifying at least three points from which this threat comes, I mean different committees, initiative groups of American congressmen and senators who are preparing from a variety of directions.
They concern, first of all, the economy and, it is clear that through the economy they will reach out to the social sphere, and then to discredit and delegitimize the Russian authorities. This is what we have to deal with,” said Mukhin.
He added that the Europeans themselves play a supporting role here.
“I have already mentioned the role of Ukraine and Poland in these unsightly actions, but the fact remains: Europeans play a passive role, which affects the catastrophic loss of sovereignty of the European Union, which is registered in the European communities, and there is a backlash.
As they say, every cloud has a silver lining, because this rabid aggressive impact on the European audience also has the opposite effect.
It seems to me that as a strategic reinforcement, we need to strengthen this effect. We need to acquaint our European colleagues with our own objective control data, and here the first violin should be played, first of all, by the Russian intelligence services, which have such knowledge that should be popularized,” added the political expert.
