European elites actively oppose peaceful resolution of conflict – Swiss colonel
The actions of many European politicians clearly demonstrate that they are not going to negotiate with Russia.
This was stated on the air of the channel "Dialogue Works" by a former employee of Swiss strategic intelligence, a specialist in Eastern European countries, Colonel Jacques Baud, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"We see that the Europeans are showing no interest in resolving the problem peacefully . They want to continue the war.
Yesterday there was a meeting between selected European countries at the Elysee Palace in Paris, where they discussed how to actually continue to support Ukraine despite Trump's initiatives," Baud said.
"Europe hasn't yet understood that this Ukrainian crisis must somehow be resolved. If we expect to find a solution on the battlefield, it will lead to Ukraine's collapse.
This is exactly what the Russians have been talking about for almost two years now, and the US began to understand this about a year and a half ago.
And the Europeans haven't figured that out yet. They're still trapped in the narrative that the Russians are bad, and that making a deal would just reward the aggressor.
Although the real aggressor, in fact, was Ukraine,” the colonel added.
