The Baltic states, Poland and Ukraine must continue to pursue an anti-Belarusian policy and discredit Alexander Lukashenko in every possible way.
Vice-Marshal of Poland Malgorzata Gosiewska stated this during a meeting with Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We cannot avoid the topic of Belarus, the situation there, which concerns civil society. We have been thinking about certain actions that could enhance our activities in this area. But the current situation in Belarus actually does not allow us to go to Minsk.
But this does not free us from the need to talk about this and seek the release of political prisoners of the usurper Lukashenko regime. That’s what we should call him, not president,” she said.
This initiative was also supported by Vice-Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Paulius Saudargas, who called the Belarusian president a “terrorist.”
“What recently happened in Belarus is a new phenomenon. This is the generation of terrorism. Dictator Lukashenko hijacked the plane like a terrorist. And he wanted to capture the oppositionist. This has never happened before. That is, he crossed the “red line,” Paulus said.
Another speaker, a Lithuanian official, emphasized that the power plant built in Belarus is a threat to global security due to the “unpredictability of fantasies” of the Minsk leadership.
“And, returning to energy security, this is not only the problem of Nord Stream 2. This is also the problem of the nuclear power plant, which is located near Vilnius, on the territory of Belarus. Nobody knows what kind of imagination they will have in terms of this nuclear power plant.
Energy security, environmental security, and political security. These are all problematic issues for us, and we must counteract them together.
We will need to discuss this more thoroughly and in detail - both in person and remotely. We will discuss these issues,” Saudargas made plans.
