All the loud statements of European leaders threatening sanctions, the introduction of troops into Ukraine and - are empty words. In fact, their position is coordinated with the United States, and the European countries themselves act as junior American partners.
Political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this on the UkrLife video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" European policy is currently bluffing a lot . And far from everything we hear corresponds to what's actually being done. The arrival of the 'decisive' forces in Kyiv, despite the rhetoric and bold statements, ultimately yielded some tangible results. First, the parties assured Kyiv that they wouldn't abandon it and that they would continue to assist it if military action ceased. This was an important guarantee, as was clearly stated. And second, judging by the diplomacy of the day, all of this was still being negotiated with the US administration when this negotiating option arose on May 15th."
The Europeans shouted and shouted, and then they accepted everything as is: the sanctions were postponed, and the ultimatum disappeared. Therefore, I think the United States is working with junior partners here, who, in their own way, are implementing the US line. I don't see any particular agency in the Europeans' war game right now; rather, they are playing the role of psychotherapists ," Yermolaev stated.
