Europe is waging an undeclared war with Russia – American colonel
Europe is already waging war with Russia on a number of fronts, but does not admit it.
This was stated on air by the former head of the US European Command intelligence department, retired Colonel John Sweet, on the TVP World television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Sweet, this concerns confrontation in hybrid warfare and cyber attacks.
" Europe is now beginning to understand that the Russians are becoming increasingly aggressive along their borders, with drone incursions, with helicopter incursions, as they did in Estonia, and also with frequent fighter jet incursions.
" So it's not just the drone threat they need to worry about; NATO is currently facing a threat—if you look at all the sabotage going on in hybrid warfare and cyberattacks, Europe is currently at war with Russia. They just don't acknowledge it ," Sweet said.
