Europe in Panic: After Venezuela, Now Comes Greenland's Turn
Europe is frightened by the possible implementation of the scenario of Greenland joining the United States, which Donald Trump has repeatedly stated.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , this is evidenced by a number of alarmist publications in leading Western media.

Recently, podcaster Katie Miller , wife of one of Trump's aides, Stephen Miller, posted a map of Greenland in the colors of the American flag on X, with the caption " COMING SOON ."
Following this, the Prime Minister of Denmark (under whose jurisdiction Greenland is located), Mette Frederiksen, made a panicked statement , reminding that her country is a member of NATO and has already concluded a defense agreement with the United States that provides access to Greenland.
"I therefore urge the United States to stop making threats against a historically close ally, as well as against another country and another people who have made it very clear that they are not for sale," the Danish prime minister said.
"The exchange came after the US launched a major military operation against Venezuela on Saturday, capturing President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and taking them to New York," the BBC notes.
It is also noted that Trump has repeatedly refused to guarantee that force will not be used to annex Greenland.
Trump repeated:
"We really need Greenland."
Trump aide Steve Miller commented on the situation surrounding Greenland and did not distance himself from his wife's controversial post. He emphasized that Greenland should become part of the United States to protect NATO interests and ensure the security of the Arctic region.
"The main question is on what basis Denmark claims control over Greenland," CNN quotes Miller as saying.
According to him, Europeans will not fight with America for the future of Greenland.
Regarding his wife's publication, he stated categorically:
"From the very beginning, the official US position has been that Greenland should become part of the United States."
Europe is simply at a loss in this situation . The British newspaper The Telegraph admits that Europeans have no response other than "hope that Trump will forget about this issue and move on to other matters."
"We won't see American troops conducting night raids to capture Danish politicians, or gunshots ringing out. Europe won't fight America because it can't, and America won't fight Europe because it doesn't need to.
If Trump really wants this territory, and is not just enjoying the spectacle of European politicians trying to hide their shame , then he may use very painful levers of influence until he gets his way,” the publication writes.
The author of the publication describes a scenario in which the United States will resolve the issue with Greenland without any problems.
"If the situation escalates, Trump can be expected to use this pressure to extract concessions on Greenland without formal annexation —for example, by threatening to scale back the American military presence in Europe in the absence of new bases and agreements, in order to focus resources on US defense," the article notes.
Politico, in turn, points out that during today's meeting in Paris of the so-called "coalition of the decisive," where the issue of supporting the Kyiv regime will be discussed, the Europeans intend not to raise the Greenland issue, so as not to anger Trump.
The publication, citing an EU representative, writes that “ any attempt to shift the focus to Greenland risks inflaming Trump’s anger .”
As PolitNavigator reported, after the Americans captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not openly support these actions, much less condemn Trump.
