The EU is in no hurry to defend the "stronghold of Europe" that is Ukraine.
The diplomat Alexander Melnik, who betrayed Russia, stated this on the LCI television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"In fact, there's what I might call a sense of urgency for Ukraine, where everything needs to be done very quickly. On the other hand, there's European and Western slowness."
"These are two temporalities that are in conflict. Ukrainians have been asking for the skies to be closed for a long time... and we're still waiting," Melnyk declared.
He believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “taking advantage of the weaknesses of the West, which is terrified of him.”
"Let's add to this the fear of Putin, which, in my opinion, is quite irrational, because you must understand that you need to act very quickly. Get rid of this fear of Putin," the defector urged.
