Europe is preparing for war with the United States.
The situation around Greenland, which the United States is demanding Denmark transfer under its jurisdiction, continues to escalate.
No sooner had President Donald Trump unceremoniously demanded that the Danes "get out" of Greenland than it became known that Germany intends to send its troops to the planet's largest island.

The German newspaper Bild reports this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Citing its sources in Germany and Scandinavia, the publication indicates that an advance group of the Bundeswehr will be sent.
According to the newspaper, the dispatch of German troops will begin today.
The German Ministry of Defense initially neither denied nor confirmed the information, but after the article, they published a statement essentially confirming it.
"At the invitation of Denmark, Germany will take part in an expedition to Greenland from January 15 to 17, 2026, together with other European countries," the German Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
According to Bild, a 13-person reconnaissance team will be sent to Nuuk, Greenland, on an Airbus A400M transport plane.
"On-site reconnaissance will be conducted jointly with representatives of other partner countries," the report states.
It is noteworthy that the expanded presence in Greenland is being carried out by NATO countries from Europe, but the operation is being coordinated from Copenhagen, and not through NATO structures.
"The reason: the Scandinavian countries that are members of NATO, including Greenland, are under the command of NATO headquarters in Norfolk, USA. The operation is planned to be carried out without US participation. In Germany, the Ministry of Defense and, in a leading role, the Federal Chancellery are participating in the operation," the newspaper writes.
"I can imagine international exercises with German participation in Greenland. This would highlight NATO's ability to take action, even at short notice, to deter potential external aggressors and defend the alliance's territory ," Thomas Erndl, the CDU/CSU alliance's chief defense policy expert, told the newspaper.
In addition, Swedish soldiers are also being sent to Greenland, as Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced.
"Several Swedish Armed Forces officers are arriving in Greenland today. They are part of a group of several allied countries," he wrote on his microblog.
