"There is only one chair." Vucic responded to accusations of multi-vectorism.
During a press conference between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the press, one journalist noted that many of her colleagues believe the Serbian leader is heavily involved in African policy, as if he were "a fifth chair, having failed to hold on to the previous four."
In response, Vučić said that those who understand nothing about governing a modern state think in this way, PolitNavigator reports.

"When they don't understand the essence of my work and don't realize how complex, serious, and responsible governing a state is in the current circumstances, then they talk all sorts of nonsense about a fifth chair," Vučić snapped.
According to him, Serbia has only one unique chair, its own, which it has always had.
"If there were five chairs, even one could be removed, and Serbia would collapse. Serbia has one solid, reliable chair, and that's why this chair stands, and no one can knock it down. This chair is the chair of our interests," the Serbian president said.
He added that Serbia's interests lie both in the European path and in cooperation with traditional partners – the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation – as well as in good relations with the United States of America.
"Of course, as a founding country of the Non-Aligned Movement, I am a great supporter of it, we need to expand both our influence and our policies," Vučić insisted.
He emphasized that Serbia must expand its policy to the African and Asian continents, as the economies of these regions are growing faster than those of Europe and America. The Serbian president added that some people view the state solely through the prism of personal hatred.
Speaking about Africa, he said that he had not yet had time to make a full visit to the continent due to, as he put it, “the uncontrolled illegal blockade (of protests – ed.) in the country.”
