Russia will rise from the Ukrainian conflict just as the United States did from World War II.

American economist Richard Wolf stated this in an interview with Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It is strange that the US continues to claim, as Mr. Trump does, that war is a negative experience for Russia in economic terms. It is strange for the US, because in the last century, World War II was what helped us overcome the Great Depression.

The war was not a destructive experience, but an economic stimulus. The GDP growth rate increased sharply. Many unemployed people were employed in production and in the army. Something similar happened in Russia. This war became a stimulus for them. That is why the ruble did not collapse, and there was no depression," Wolf said.

He also believes that Russia's victory in Ukraine will put an end to US hegemony.
