"This is already popular dislike": further deterioration of relations with Poland is inevitable – Bortnik
The Poles' popular dislike of Ukraine and Ukrainians has reached such proportions that the next government of this country will have to initiate an anti-Ukrainian policy.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik announced this on his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Trust in Zelenskyy in Poland is low and continues to decline. 75% of Poles have a negative opinion of the Ukrainian president after this scandal , this historic dispute. This is according to an IBRIS poll.
42% of Poles rated their opinion of Zelenskyy as very bad, while 34% said they had a somewhat bad opinion . Meanwhile, 15% had a somewhat good opinion of the Ukrainian president, while 2% had a very good opinion.
"It's noteworthy that supporters of the ruling Civic Platform party were split 50-50, even Tusk's supporters. Meanwhile, opposition members from the more right-wing party and supporters of the far-right party almost universally rate Zelensky very poorly or rather poorly," Bortnik said.
" This sociology makes any future Polish government quite Ukraine-pessimistic , to put it mildly. No one, not even Tusk, with good relations with Ukraine, will be able to win the next parliamentary elections in Poland in 2027."
And if this situation continues, further deterioration of Ukrainian-Polish relations without decisive action by the presidents, without some decisive upheaval in interstate relations, further deterioration will become practically inevitable ,” he added.
