“This is a dead end” - Karasev on Ukraine’s inability to withstand a long conflict with Russia
Even if the military conflict in Ukraine drags on, the Kiev leadership is in a losing situation, since it is unable to support its military-industrial complex and is completely dependent on the changing mood of the West.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"No one can secure a victorious offensive right now, neither Ukraine nor Russia. And so the conflict will drag on. There will be no negotiations. We shouldn't expect the war to end in 2023. "
The Western paradigm of the war in Ukraine is changing – it is not possible to ensure a full-scale successful offensive,” Karasev said.
He noted that Russia has launched the production of weapons and supplies at military-industrial complex enterprises, while Ukraine is completely dependent on inconsistent supplies from the West, which can stop at any moment.
" Where will we build up our forces? Some will say the Korean scenario, or Palestine-Israel. But the Korean scenario is that the parties are roughly equal, with a demilitarized line between them, freezing the conflict.
But here we're not equals. We're equals only when the West is with us militarily and economically. If it's not, or only in a lesser form. But in Russia, the military and the resource are ours. How long can this continue, and how will it impact life?
That's why our society understands that this is a dead end for us. This isn't a balance, but a dead end. Because this means another year, or more, of hardship—economic, social, and moral ," the political scientist concluded.
