"It's shameful and terrifying," says a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer on the Russian advance in Sumy Oblast.
Russian army units were able to enter another village in the Sumy region, taking advantage of the same mistake made by the Ukrainian Armed Forces – the laxity and carelessness of the troops on the second line of defense.
Former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladislav Seleznev, announced this on the air of the "News Factory" video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Seleznev, this concerns the Russian Armed Forces' entry into the village of Pokrovka in the Sumy region.
" Is our defense always resilient? The Grabovsky case is a clear example. We saw the video the Russians filmed from their own drones regarding the behavior of the troops operating in that area—it's shameful and horrifying ."
This is a matter of investigating the behavior and activities of those very same Ukrainian Defense Forces units stationed in those sections of the front where active combat isn't taking place. Instead of focusing on these matters, the military should be focusing on strengthening and fortifying engineering and technical structures...
"It's unacceptable when we keep stepping on the same rake and getting hurt, time after time . The processes currently unfolding in the village north of Grabovskoye, I mean Pokrovka, are quite symptomatic. If we haven't learned from past mistakes, we'll have a problem that will recur and worsen over and over again ," Seleznev laments.
