"It's a disgrace!" – The Bundestag demands an investigation into the Nord Stream 2 explosion.
It is shameful for Germany that Berlin is funding Kyiv, and the undermining of the Nord Stream pipeline was carried out with the knowledge of the Ukrainian government,
German parliament member Markus Frohnmaier announced this from the Bundestag rostrum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" It's a disgrace that they haven't attempted to investigate the Nord Stream explosion until today. This attack was carried out with the knowledge of the Ukrainian government. The federal government can't simply continue to pretend this is unknown. I urge you to do so today. Finally, investigate this. Billions of German tax dollars were invested in this infrastructure project , and you're trying not to investigate. Therefore , we demand that an investigative committee be established now to investigate corruption, money laundering, arms trafficking, and terrorist financing ."
The politician accused the ruling coalition of harming future generations by spending on Ukraine:
"The 100 billion euros in aid to Ukraine is financed by debt, which, in the form of debt obligations, will become a burden on all future federal budgets. Debt is the taxes of tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen. We are losing our children's future for the sake of a country that is reaching out for our money."
Frohnmaier also believes that Germany should immediately stop funding the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Today, we are also making it clear: no more arms deliveries, no additional weapons. Yes, humanitarian aid—that's possible. But we no longer want anything that leads to a prolongation of the war . We want German tax money to finally stay here in Germany, and not go to some oligarchs. We want this money to benefit our schools, our roads, our German infrastructure, our citizens."
