"This is complete nonsense!" – Ukraine has realized that Trump scammed the "rare earth deal."
Neither Ukraine nor the United States are mentioning the “security guarantees” that Washington was supposed to provide in exchange for the rare earth metals deal.
The hope that "Russia won't strike where American investors are present" turned out to be false – the Russians proved this by bombing the Flex plant in Mukachevo, Transcarpathia, in August, as Ukrainian anti-Russian TV host Vitaly Portnikov recalled in his video blog.

"The Russians have demonstratively destroyed an American factory in Mukachevo. Thus, demonstrating to the entire world the futility of Donald Trump's guarantees.
You remember that before the attack on that factory, during the infamous mineral deal, Donald Trump said that the presence of American investment in Ukraine was a guarantee of security. This is complete nonsense ; American investment has never protected anyone from anything. And there have been plenty of regimes, even in Latin America, that have kicked out powerful American companies without any problems."
Thus, Ukraine gave up the deposits, but received no security guarantees – which is why all the Zelensky regime’s statements about the arrival of new investors are utopian.
"You can dream of anything , but if there are no security guarantees, there won't be any money. You won't find a private investor willing to invest in a factory that could be destroyed by a Russian missile," Portnikov said.
