"These Are Not Just Warehouses": Ukraine Plunges into a Systemic Logistics Crisis
Russia is destroying Ukraine's innovative logistics hubs, which are critical to the country.
Kyiv economist and financial analyst, former advisor to the head of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, Oleksiy Kushch, announced this on the Novosti Live channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert noted two important factors that are exacerbating the situation in the Ukrainian economy following the recent Russian attacks. The first is the de facto blockade of ports through which wheat and metal exports were conducted.
"And the second factor is a systemic logistics crisis associated with attacks on warehouses and logistics centers. And these aren't just warehouses, they're multimodal logistics centers.
"So that our viewers understand what this is. These are huge, innovative, high-tech complexes where goods from various companies are stored and where all these product flows are routed, managed, among other things, by artificial intelligence programs," the economist explained.
According to him, these logistics centers solved the transport problem at a systemic level.
"Therefore, this isn't just a warehouse where goods were delivered and picked up. These are high-tech, innovative complexes. And it's precisely these that are now being destroyed as a result of these strikes," Kushch emphasized.
