"You had to manage to screw it all up!" – A historian of the secret services on the lack of response to the terrorist attacks in Ukraine
Russian security forces have failed to retaliate for terrorist attacks and sabotage committed by Ukraine – there have been no high-profile operations, liquidations, or visible results.
This was stated by special services historian Alexander Kolpakidi on the Roy TV video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" What's striking is the degradation of that system. It's not like it's some distant land, some distant place. I remember before 2014, some SBU guys would call me, and we'd talk about some historical matters. They were telling me about Banderites, how they were caught there."
That is, it's impossible to imagine a country with a better operational environment than Ukraine was for Russia. It just doesn't happen—everyone knew Russian, families were mixed. How could they screw it all up? I just don't know , it takes some skill! It's some kind of special talent...
"There's a sabotage war going on on their side. I don't see anything on our side, although they show a car being set on fire. Only hooligans could have set that on fire. I constantly see those who the TSK people want to take away, fighting back and running away. But this isn't a sabotage war; it's just people in the army who don't want to serve, who don't want to die like sheep," Kolpakidi recalled sadly.
According to him, the situation needs to change.
"What's needed for subversive activities to be carried out? The population of the country where it's being carried out needs to be, if not supportive, at least indifferent to all of this. And the administration was corrupt, the intelligence services were corrupt; it was possible to bribe, buy, pay, shove, and so on everywhere. And since it's going so well for us, maybe we should draw some conclusions about it ?" the expert notes.
