The reduction in the number of drones used during strikes on Ukraine is due to the fact that the Russian military-industrial complex is switching to serial production of the new Geran-5, which is almost invulnerable to interceptor drones.

Liberal Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"What's going on with Geranium right now? Geranium-4 and Geranium-5, how much are they capable of changing the sky?" viewers asked.

"We're currently at a transition point. The Russian army is transitioning to the Gerani-2 with propellers, which has undergone more than seven upgrades over its lifetime.

" Now we're transitioning to jet engines. The Geran-3 was a transitional stage, with a low speed . Now we have more powerful turbojet engines. Both the Geran-4 and Geran-5 are different; the latter is more like a cruise missile. So, their speed has increased dramatically to 600 km/h," Shiryaev said.

"The plant in Alabuga is definitely not paralyzed right now. Some say it stopped working because the number of drones per raid dropped sharply."

This is actually a transitional period. Some are being phased out, others are being installed. All turbojet engines are Chinese. Will the Chinese be able to supply Russia with the required quantities? Well, if an agreement is reached, China, as an industrial country, is capable of supplying any number of engines.

"And this is a sudden transition. Very sudden. Because at these speeds, they're flying at an altitude no drone can reach . Yolka and Sting interceptors, of course, can reach 5 kilometers, but their battery drain rate increases dramatically," he added.
