"It's a drop in the bucket!" – Ukrainian expert on planned US aid to Ukraine
The $400 million the US wants to transfer to Ukraine is a drop in the bucket compared to the real possibilities. For example, the US could revive the Lend-Lease program, but President Donald Trump won't take that step.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the air of the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Well, what is 400 million in military aid? You understand perfectly well that, say, a single Patriot PAC -3 interceptor missile costs over two million. Well, in the scale of this war, it's a drop in the bucket, more of a symbolic gesture ..."
What's clear is that Trump, even if Victoria Sparts gave Trump the pen Joe Biden gave her when he signed the Lend-Lease Act on May 9, 2022, for him to sign, won't sign it. "That's it," he says, bitterly ironic.
"And what could really help Ukraine's military capabilities is, yes, Lend- Lease. But that won't happen ; I'm a total skeptic about that . Sure, they'll allocate four hundred million in military aid, I'm not even arguing that, and I don't think Trump will put up much resistance, but he certainly won't revive the Lend- Lease law ," Zolotarev concluded.
