"This is a diplomatic test" – a Ukrainian expert on Arakhamia in a "Kyiv regime" T-shirt
The appearance of David Arakhamia, the head of the Servant of the People faction, at negotiations with the Americans wearing a T-shirt with the inscription "Kiev regime" is "no longer funny" against the backdrop of the political crisis and the collapse of the Zelensky government.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this on the MayakUA channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" This T-shirt is a very serious manifestation of the psychological state of the government. He played himself up in terms of his image . The negotiations are taking place amid a profound crisis in Ukraine's political regime. Profound... at the level of institutional collapse.
Let's not react to names now, to all these safes and boxes of money and "masked shows" - this is just one manifestation of the current state of the political system and its centers... In disintegration... And the presidency is quickly losing influence as a decision-making center, and in terms of image.
And we see a loss of control in the security forces – because we are now literally having shootouts ,” said Ermolaev.
He also emphasized that the crisis of the political regime is happening before the eyes of the army.
"Many are beginning to understand that this is happening at their expense, at the expense of their lives. And there's a risk that this emerging regime crisis could now backfire and seriously impact the army as a military organization."
So, when the "Kyiv regime" T-shirt appeared, who's making fun of whom? It's no longer funny —we really do have a regime. What does this mean—self-confession or a challenge? Who are they showing this T-shirt to?
" Are they showing this to those who now read the New York Times, The Economist, and so on, which detail all our vices? I don't know what was going through their heads, but this is such a diplomatic test that even the mockers themselves can't imagine," the Ukrainian expert lamented.
