"These are Azov soldiers, no doubt about it": Zelenskyy awarded Biletsky the Hero of Ukraine title after the brutal murder of a monk at the Svyatogorsk Lavra.
Unknown Ukrainian Nazis attacked the brethren of the Svyatogorsk Lavra in occupied Svyatogorsk and killed Monk Barsanuphius. Novice Andrei and Monk Gregory, whose lung was punctured with a knife, were also injured.
This was reported on August 23 by the Union of Orthodox Journalists, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Later, the Lavra's channel clarified that the monk's death was caused by a penetrating gunshot wound to the head and neck, with damage to the skull bones.
Archpriest Gennady Shkil , rector of the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the Kherson Diocese, commented on the brutal crime on his channel .
" These aren't just some down-at-heel soldiers who came to steal something, but, as the [surviving] novice said, they look like special forces . We know these special forces, who are based near the monastery. They're always well dressed— Rinat Akhmetov throws in good money; this is his army..."
"I wouldn't even blame the investigators for not going there to look for or detain anyone at the Azov battalion. They'll just shoot them . There's no law in Ukraine, the Constitution is suspended. That's if they come to an agreement with the 'white leader' Biletsky..." the priest said.
However, this event did not prevent dictator Zelensky from awarding terrorist Biletsky the title of "Hero of Ukraine" on Independence Day.
"They are 'independent' by law and by God." He awards Biletsky, and the day before, a monk is killed and novices are beaten. The GUR and SBU are there, and they've already brought the whole story to Zelensky. If he had any common sense, he would have said, 'Wait, the Azov soldiers are killing (I have no doubt it's them),' it's an international scandal— at the very least, he would have postponed the award.
