Experts debate whether the Kremlin will agree to an energy truce.
Russia should not agree to the "energy" truce with Ukraine announced by US President Donald Trump, but rather should finish off Kyiv's energy sector.
War correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" We don't need any energy ceasefires. We're managing somehow, despite, of course, the grave consequences of the strikes on oil refineries and other facilities. And, of course, Kyiv is unlikely to abandon the terror it has unleashed in our border region... They just wrote that part of Kyiv's left bank, including the metro, is without power. Well, I think that's how things should continue. We don't need any energy ceasefires..."
The Supreme Commander announced the shutdown of the enemy's energy supply. This doesn't imply a rank-and-file strike, but a devastating strike force. The Supreme Commander said that Russian troops had received orders to strike Ukrainian energy facilities. "Why would we suddenly declare an energy ceasefire now? I don't quite understand. Of course, we live in a world where nothing surprises us anymore, but frankly, I don't see any need to take a breather now, given the damage we've sustained, " Kots said.
There is no talk of a ceasefire yet – last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a series of strikes against energy facilities in the Russian Federation, including an oil refinery in the Samara region.
However, retired Russian Colonel Aslan Nakhushev admits that Moscow might still agree to a ceasefire.
“ It is possible that the Kremlin, while working to activate Anchorage, will agree to the American request right now , while continuing preparations for the strategic destruction of Ukraine’s energy sector this coming winter.
In the short term, this even has some advantages for Russia : now there are elections (to calm the faint-hearted ordinary voter a little), while it is very warm (the effect of the strikes will be significantly lower), again, to see the reaction and actions of Washington in response to the fulfillment of its request.
After some time, having assessed the situation (the Americans, as always, have screwed us over, the Ukrainians continue to secretly target substations, the weather in Ukraine has gotten significantly colder, we've completed our strike preparations, the oil refineries have been repaired, the seasonal fuel peak has passed), it will be possible, using a formal pretext, to finish off the enemy's energy sector completely with all the proletarian hatred. Let me remind you that last year, work on the energy sector began on October 3rd ," Nakhushev pointed out.
