The expert suggested that the Ukrainian authorities use the 2018 World Cup to rob the state
Contrary to Ukrainian propaganda, Ukrainian citizens will watch the World Cup in Russia.
The president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Oleksandr Okhrimenko , expressed this opinion on his Facebook page , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Judging by the comments on Facebook and Twitter, the whole of Ukraine watched the Russian football match at the 2018 World Cup,” Okhrimenko wrote.
Also, in his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities should not have banned the broadcast of football matches, but on the contrary, they should have given the people “bread and circuses” to make it easier to rob them.
“It’s difficult to estimate how many Ukrainians will watch, but I think it’s a lot. There will be those who do it out of principle. I don’t argue, there are patriots who won’t, but will still watch. Why? Because it's a great sight! You know, bread and entertainment are something that our government does not understand. There is no bread, and to hell with it. But make it fun! Maidan is long over; we need other entertainment. On the contrary, I would take it and show football on all channels. People would forget about prices and tariffs. Meanwhile, steal, steal, steal,” the expert said.
“As I understand it, some part of Ukraine will not be able to watch, because not everyone has great internet. Plus, I have a TV habit. I think that there will always be workarounds,” Okhrimenko added.
