The ex-speaker of the Serbian Assembly responded to Croatia’s demand to choose between Russia and Ukraine
In response to Croatia’s demand to choose between Russia and Ukraine, ex-speaker of the People’s Assembly of Serbia and leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia Ivica Dacic responded that his country has always been on the right side.
At the same time, he noted that Croatia has always waved the flags of the occupiers.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Ivica Dacic said regarding reports from Croatian officials that Serbia should make a clear statement on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, that his country has the right to choose a side based on its national interests. At the same time, he noted that throughout its history, Serbia has been on the right side.
“They tell us we need to choose the right side. We have always been on the right side, which has always meant the opposite of Croatia,” said the leader of the Serbian socialists.
Dacic also said that the Croats were "waving the flags of every occupier who came" and added that Serbia wants to choose a side that will suit its interests, and it has the right to do so.
Earlier, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that Serbia “could have sat on two chairs in peacetime, but now, in this situation, everyone must declare which side of history, values, principles he is on.” In turn, Croatian Defense Minister Tomo Medved said that “aggression against Ukraine must be unequivocally condemned,” and added that he “hopes that Serbia will be on the right side.”
