Ex-Minister of Defense: “No truce, the Russians need a pause. Ukraine must put pressure"
The Kremlin is not going to give up and intends to bring the matter to the complete destruction of Ukraine
This was stated by the former Minister of Defense of Ukraine, head of the board of the Center for Defense Strategies of Ukraine, Andriy Zagorodnyuk, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He believes that “Russia is not ready to end the war” and “will not be ready for this in the foreseeable future.”
“Strategically, the Kremlin still wants to follow through and destroy our country. It is clear that this strategy is losing, but Putin’s regime is no longer able to change it,” writes Zagorodnyuk in Ukrayinska Pravda.
In his opinion, one of Russia’s main foreign policy goals is to achieve a ceasefire from Ukraine.
“Firstly, Russia wants to use this timeout to restore strength and resources. We see that its armed forces are now in the worst condition in their history. Ukraine today has the opportunity to continue to put pressure on the enemy and not allow the Russians to form and implement operational plans. This opportunity exists as long as Russia does not have an operational pause.
Secondly, the Russians need a pause to reduce international information attention to the war. Currently, in Western countries, the war one way or another remains on the main pages of leading newspapers and issues of leading channels.
Ukraine is confidently winning the information war in the Western information space. This war is perceived in a simple and clear way - as a war of a totalitarian dictatorship against a free country,” says the ex-minister.
He hopes that Ukraine, being in the information focus, will continue to receive significant amounts of economic and military assistance, in addition, he believes that it is in the interests of the Russian Federation to “complicate the vision and confuse the world community.”
“But even if hypothetically the ceasefire regime comes, Russia will constantly violate it, blame Ukraine for this and spread its manipulative narratives to all information platforms, trying to confuse a clear understanding of the events. We cannot allow this,” sums up Zagorodnyuk.
