Former Ukrainian Armed Forces Brigade Commander: "We went down the path of creating beautiful reports – hence the results."
Ukrainian brigades on the front are being reinforced by battalions with zero combat potential.
The former brigade commander of the 53rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Anatoliy Kozel ("Kupol"), stated this on air on Channel 5, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We've gone down the path of pretty reports. That's why we have this problem. That's why there's no proper command and control at the front. And that's why every brigade, every brigade commander who holds a line of command at the front, has seven battalions attached to him, whose combat potential is close to zero," Kozel said.
He complains that there are a huge number of brigades that have personnel and equipment, “but they fight on the principle of giving their people to someone else, without even having their own command post.”
According to him, a mobilized person must clearly understand what will happen to him next.
"It's not like they just took the phone and that's it—they're already losing consciousness. Everyone's panicking, my wife's panicking, my mom's panicking, there's no connection, they've already killed someone, that's it. Well, that's the reaction we're seeing in society right now to mobilization," the former brigade commander laments.
At the same time, he admits that it is “very difficult” to fix all of this.
