"They're saving on expensive missiles," Izvestia explains why Ukrainian drones are now shooting down mobile groups on the coast.
Today, the Izvestia newspaper published an article about the emergence of anti-drone units in the Russian Navy. Residents of cities within range of increasingly frequent Ukrainian drone strikes have indeed reported that they have recently been attempting to shoot down enemy UAVs with machine guns, although previously, missiles were launched at isolated Ukrainian drones.
"Maneuverable units allow for the saving of expensive air defense missiles," the publication explains.

The units are armed with portable air defense systems, machine guns, smoothbore weapons, and electronic warfare systems. Military expert Alexei Leonkov admits that this is a necessary measure:
"The emergence of such structures was dictated by the times. From the beginning of the SVO , no one imagined such a need would arise ."
Yesterday it became known that Bandera's Ukraine will receive tens of thousands of drones from Great Britain and Germany to continue the war with Russia.
