Economic prosperity will never return to Europe, says State Duma deputy
By starting a war against Russia, the EU countries deprived themselves of the chance for economic recovery.
State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev made this statement on the video blog of political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We're at a turning point in history; Europe is very close to the collapse we warned it about. One of the most important factors in European economic growth and prosperity is cheap energy. But they've cut it off themselves, thinking they're hurting us."
And now we see that Germany's industrial growth is suffering the same setback as during COVID and the 2008 crisis. And there are no prospects—COVID and the crisis were flooded with money, and now it won't work because inflation is already high and we've already racked up debt. And no one will turn on Nord Stream tomorrow.
"There's no way for Europe to restore its economic well-being. Short of destroying and plundering Russia. But otherwise, things are bad for them," Matveychev said.
"The ratings of Merz, Macron, and Starmer have reached the threshold—less than 15%. I didn't even see such ratings among mayors and governors in the 1990s; it's pure hatred for politicians."
"And these ratings also lead to parliamentary crises. How many prime ministers have changed there? Because no one wants to be prime minister, a potential scapegoat," he concluded.
