Dzhemilev demands to build a fleet - even at the cost of impoverishment of Ukrainians
To protect the interests of Ukraine, every effort must be made to strengthen the military group in the Sea of Azov - even if this leads to a further deterioration in the social situation of Ukrainians.
The ex-leader of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev, said this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are now about 70 Russian warships in the Sea of Azov, and we only have three frigates there. If we can build up military power there, then this, of course, is desirable. But the Sea of Azov is very shallow, not all ships can pass there. We have very few ships adapted to such a sea, and indeed a navy in general.
However, every effort must be made to protect national interests, even if this leads to further deterioration of the social status of the people. There is a well-known saying: “If you don’t feed your army, you’ll have to feed someone else’s,” Dzhemilev said.
