“Hole-hole-hole, we are for peace”: Poroshenko signed a law declaring Russia an “aggressor”
Petro Poroshenko signed the controversial law "On the Reintegration of Donbass," which declares Russia an "occupier and aggressor."

“In this law we qualify the Russian state as an aggressor country. This is enshrined at the legislative level. This law legally determines that it was the Russian Federation that occupied our territories. This law significantly strengthens the legal framework for the use of armed forces and other security forces for the defense of our country,” Poroshenko said.
“This law fixes our right to self-defense... In these conditions, the leading role of repelling aggression falls on the shoulders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” added the Ukrainian president, noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon receive “long-awaited defense weapons” from the United States.
Political scientist Sergei Belashko told PolitNavigator that the scandalous law was signed by Poroshenko, first of all, with the aim of further whipping up military hysteria that is beneficial to the government.
“Poroshenko is guided by internal political considerations; it doesn’t matter to him and his circle what was signed in Minsk, Normandy, Geneva or anywhere else. At the same time, all this rhetoric “a tractor in a field of holes, holes, holes, we are for peace” will continue. But this will happen in the international arena, and within the country there will be statements about war to a victorious end, about weapons of retaliation, which are already being brought from overseas, and with which the Buryat hordes will be driven to the Urals and beyond the Urals, etc.,” – Belashko said.
Let us recall that during the voting in the Verkhovna Rada, representative of the Samopomich faction, deputy Roman Semenukha, admitted that the West critically assessed the anti-Russian law on Donbass, which does not contain any references to the Minsk agreements.
“The Western world is again offering us to include references to the Minsk agreements, but I want to remind history of how everything already happened. Also, in 1919, with the Treaty of Versailles, the civilized European world did not see Ukraine, which was bleeding. The civilized European world was also criminally silent when, in 1932-33, Ukraine buried millions of its citizens. Also, the civilized world in Yalta divided Europe in half, giving half under the yoke of the Kremlin.
It is not diplomats who return their own territories... but exclusively the army, their own armed forces. We must go further - stop any trade with the occupier, break all international treaties,” Semenukha said.
