Ukraine and Poland must cultivate a controlled opposition in Belarus that will take power in the country after the death of President Alexander Lukashenko.

This was stated by former Minister of Labor and former Deputy Secretary of State of Poland Piotr Kulpa during a video blog broadcast by Ukrainian political scientist and extremist Yuriy Romanenko, who is wanted in Russia, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We need to view Belarus as a territory from which war could break out. And I believe this issue will be key now, because I don't believe Russia will be aggressive against Europe without using Belarusian territory," Kulpa said.

«Ukrainians need to get involved in Belarusian politics, work actively with the opposition, and think about the transition of power.Because Lukashenko isn't made of iron; he'll die sooner or later. And he's already at an age where that's becoming a reality.

Therefore, we must take active action in the Belarusian direction, because it is critically important for us, as Belarus is the gateway to the Baltic ports,” Romanenko added.

"If Ukraine leaves Belarus under Russian occupation and does not help it break free from Russian occupation, demonstrate its independence, and remove this entire institutional infrastructure that is turning Belarus into a territory of aggression, then the threat will remain.

Lukashenko has signed all possible agreements with the Russians. They can freely and legally operate from Belarusian territory.

This will be a 3300-kilometer border that will put pressure on Ukraine's post-war development opportunities."Knowing that you have a neighbor who has had sanctions lifted, who is simply receiving money and investing it in an economy that is subject to the logic of war," Kulpa propagandized.
