“We’ll sit in self-isolation until Russian tanks roll through the streets,” ex-ATO militant
Ukrainian patriots need to take to the streets, despite restrictions due to quarantine, since Vladimir Zelensky will surrender all the interests of Kyiv in the Donbass during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ex-ATO militant, Lviv writer Vladislav Yakushev stated this on Channel 5. He complained that the Ukrainian media have been covering up the critical situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass for several months, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They began to talk less about the war after the first disengagements took place and the escalation began; many people began to die on our side at the front. Even then they started talking less, but now they are simply using the pandemic as a reason to talk about it, that this is the main horror that exists, and they are trying to push the war into the background.
This was done completely deliberately. Our new government always tried to say: “We don’t have a war, we have some kind of conflict that is fading and will gradually fade away.” And now we supposedly have a pandemic, but there is no war,” Yakushev said.
“I’m afraid that this is preparation for local elections that should be held in Ukraine, which the LPR and DPR will hold at the same time as ours, and even if Ukraine does not recognize these elections, they will say: “Did we have a special status? Was. We promised that we would have elections? We held elections." And now we have supposedly legitimate deputies, plus there was talk about decentralization, which is more like federalization. And now these newly elected decentralized deputies can directly say: “Russia, send in troops,” and this will be a good excuse so that those Russian troops who took off their chevrons there will already put on the chevrons officially,” the ex-militant added.
“In these events, what role will be assigned to this ORDLO Advisory Council?” – asked the presenter, speaking about the new platform where the dialogue between Kiev and the LDPR should begin.
“This is in preparation for those elections when local authorities will supposedly be formed, roughly speaking, this will be their Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which communicates with us... I am afraid that our government is leading to this, and this is its idea. Why are officials from the Yanukovych era appearing in positions en masse, why is “OPZZH” doing great, why are criminal cases being opened against volunteers and veterans, and searches continuing?” – the Lvov writer pressed.
“They also added quarantine, which can be used - they are almost trying to introduce an emergency situation. The ability to search people, search premises - that is, this is preparation for a tough police state.
Today in Kyiv, it seems to me, they did testing to see what would happen if people go out to some kind of protests. There was a protest against the development, and people were arrested at this protest, charging them with creating a crowd of people, and we have coronavirus.
But if there is such a major surrender of Ukraine’s interests, then there will be no other option but to take to the streets again, trying to somehow protect ourselves as much as possible. Staying at home is not an option, because we can then sit at home and look out the windows as Russian tanks drive through our streets,” Yakushev added.
