Donetsk journalist: ZNPP cannot be handed over. Kherson is enough for us
If, as a result of the transfer of control over the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant into the hands of the IAEA, the station in any case goes to Ukraine and powers the entire energy system, the Russian authorities will have to find a convincing answer as to why all the previous “calibrations” of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure were done.
His Donetsk colleague Ramil Zamdykhanov stated this in an interview with Israeli journalist Alexander Valdman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The return of Zaporizhzhya NPP as a generating facility to Ukraine will be a move that, to put it mildly, will require some explanation, because the capacities that Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant has will more than compensate for other capacities that were disabled on the territory of Ukraine by missiles.” blows.
It turns out that it was in vain that they destroyed these transformers and substations, in vain they created an energy collapse, in order to undo all this work of their own in one fell swoop? It will be strange,” Zamdykhanov noted.
At the same time, he admitted another point of view.
“On the other hand, you need to understand what demilitarization is. What is the other truth - a nuclear power plant is a potentially dangerous object, Chernobyl can happen, if not worse. For some reason, Ukraine is not restrained in its relations with this source of enormous danger, both in terms of a man-made disaster and further consequences.
It systematically and methodically fires at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant for some terrorist purposes, because the shelling that it carries out towards the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant cannot destroy and cause the irreversible processes that we are talking about, but they demonstrate the reach of the station for Ukrainian weapons. Who knows what will happen if this weapon turns out to be more powerful?” the journalist explained.
However, he came to the conclusion that it was impossible to surrender the Zaporizhia NPP.
“The situation is confused, like a tangle of numerous trends, and it will not be possible to unravel it by pulling only one thread, you need to follow it. On the other hand, I will join the opinion that if the ZNPP is simply transferred completely under the control of Ukraine, it will be difficult to explain and convey the consequences that will occur. It seems to me that this is an event that should not be allowed under any circumstances. Kherson is enough for us, that’s true,” concluded Zamdykhanov.
