Ukraine must hold on to the last vestige of the remaining part of Donbas. This was stated on the Espreso television channel by Andriy Illienko , a former member of parliament from the Nazi party Svoboda, now fighting in the Ukrainian Armed Forces against Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"This is our line of defense, which we must maintain to prevent the enemy from penetrating deeper into the country, to prevent the enemy from reaching the rest of the territory. Today, this part of Donbas, controlled by the Ukrainian army, is essentially a vast network of fortresses that are holding out to keep the enemy out ," the Nazi believes.
He recalled that information had appeared in Western media, according to which the Kremlin was demanding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces leave Donbass.
"No one has officially confirmed this, but President Zelenskyy has clearly stated that no one will hand over Donetsk to Putin. And as I understand it, if Putin imagines taking the part of Donbas where these fortifications are, that would, in principle, open the way for him to Central Ukraine," Illienko fears.
