"Donations to the army have fallen dramatically, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to hold the front" - Kiev expert
Despite the efforts of Ukrainian propaganda, society has stopped donating to the army, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are no longer able to hold their positions.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the UkrLife channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“How do you assess the situation that is currently developing on the war fronts?” the presenter asked.
"Pessimistic and joyless for Ukraine. Yes, there is a whole host of positive bloggers who tell us how we are beating them up to the punch, that the enemy's equipment is burning, but in the end they ask - throw in some more money for equipment.
But, you know, in the third year of the war, the state, especially having received considerable resources at its disposal, had to solve at least basic problems, such as transport supplies, provision of electronic warfare equipment.
A projection of what's really happening: volunteers report that donations have decreased three- to fourfold . This means moral, psychological, and financial exhaustion. And all of this, naturally, is felt at the front," Zolotarev complained.
"Unfortunately, the best and most motivated units were wiped out in '22-'23. It's up to military experts to figure out whose strategic genius led to such a dismal outcome. But when holes at the front are filled with undermotivated, boosted individuals, the risk is very high that at some point the chips will fall off the table."
"And this doesn't end well, as experience shows, and our military constantly says so. Individual tactical successes don't offset the fact that the enemy holds the strategic initiative, that the front is moving not from west to east, but from east to west . And the fact that we lose one, two, sometimes three settlements in different regions every day," he concluded.
