"We must work for the good of the Motherland" – Korotchenko proposed reviving "Stalin's sharashkas"
Russia needs to revive special correctional facilities where corrupt scientists and engineers, especially those in the military-industrial complex, can continue their research.
Military expert Igor Korotchenko stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We need institutions like Stalin's sharashkas. Where were the scientists and designers? They weren't mining uranium; they were doing what they did, but in prison."
"Perhaps we need the same approach with regard to a number of defense industry executives . There are some talented individuals there, but they've gone too far and taken bribes. Perhaps we should use the same approach in one format or another," Korotchenko said.
“ I am in favor of the rational use of all possibilities for waging war against Ukraine , including the retention of those personnel who can and should work for, ultimately, our final result, victory.
"Why isn't this being done? There's no political solution," he complained.
