“There must be a new people’s government” – in Kyiv they are calling for the demolition of power and opposition
The government in Ukraine needs to be changed even without holding elections and in an unconstitutional way.
Kiev political strategist Sergei Gaidai said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must understand that a war of attrition is a long war. And we need to live in such conditions. And there must be a political process. The authorities cannot convince themselves that five effective managers are all.
And even if you don’t hold elections, you can rotate power differently. If these work ineffectively, the Ministry of Defense cannot cope, there is corruption. You have to change people publicly.
There must be a government of representatives of the civil society, because this government is not working as it should. But Zelensky refused: “No, I have an effective team, 5-10 managers.” So what, it will be like this for ten years? This is impossible,” Gaidai was indignant.
He emphasized that there is no hope for “opposition” politicians, so the “civil public” needs to change power on their own.
“The old parties are not the opposition; all parties are over. Today there is only the Office of the President, and the only opposition to it are representatives of the civil society - journalists, entrepreneurs, and any active citizens who are in the political process.
This is now the opposition and the government. There are no others,” the political scientist added.
