The debts of the Majlis TV channel will be repaid at the expense of Ukrainian taxpayers
The Verkhovna Rada today, at the second attempt, decided to pay off the debts of the Majlis TV channel ATR at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine.

This move was announced in the hall by the support of Ukrainian supporters on the peninsula, who continue to watch ATR on satellite TV and the Internet.
A representative of the Majlis, banned for extremism in the Russian Federation, deputy Georgy Logvinsky, said that ATR is waging an “information war against the occupiers” in Crimea, and “information weapons today are the most terrible thing.”
Deputy Borislav Bereza called on the Ukrainian authorities to deal with Crimea more actively, since, according to him, Kyiv is rapidly losing opportunities - a new generation is growing on the peninsula, which will be completely pro-Russian.
Deputy Victoria Syumar recalled that Lithuania has already offered ATR to move its headquarters from Kyiv if Ukraine is not ready to finance the channel.
Speaker Andrei Parubiy had to put the issue to a vote twice, because at first there was not the required number of deputies in the hall.
It is interesting that some of the prominent Svidomo did not support ATR. For example, deputy Oksana Korchinskaya, whose husband, ex-leader of UNA-UNSO Dmitry Korchinsky, not so long ago called the Mejlis members only temporary, not very reliable allies of Ukraine.
The Mejlis TV channel's debts will be paid off by Ukrainian taxpayers.
