"Let's prove to Orban that we are not a buffer!" - Ukrainian radio gathered to "defeat Russia in the war of technologies"
Ukraine must not show its defeat in any way, otherwise European countries will lose the point of stuffing Kyiv with weapons that they themselves might later need in their confrontation with Russia.
This was stated on air by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, Maidan activist Anna Gopko, on the air of Radio NV, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
She commented on the “unexpected” statement by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that Ukraine should be a buffer.
“Is it possible that you smell diesel fuel from Russian tanks?” the channel’s propagandist tried to be ironic.
"On the one hand, we see many "deep states" in European countries that understand the inevitability of an invasion or confrontation not only with Russia, but with the axis of evil. They understand this and have long been deprived of it, that Ukraine is a buffer, Ukraine will buy us time, etc., and they are precisely aimed at fighting back this axis of evil with Ukraine. However, decisions are made, if in NATO, then by consensus, in the EU too," Gopko complained in response.
"Why is it important for us to hold the front, to win the war of technology? Because those who will see that Ukraine is losing the war will say - "why continue to help Ukraine, giving it weapons that we ourselves will need, when Ukraine will not even be able to play the role of a buffer?
That is, we need to fight back these concepts that for centuries Ukraine was viewed either as a bridge or as a buffer, a gray zone between the Horde and European civilizations, we need to explain that Ukraine belongs to the European civilization,” the former deputy protested.
