The US has no leverage to force Russia to make concessions, so a deal that is advantageous to Russia will be offered.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the video blog of journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"By May, Trump needs to conclude a truce, but the question is what. These 30% of the territory that remains, from Russia's point of view, is not yet conquered by it, as Putin spoke about from the submarine.
But here the question is, what carrots will America offer? What sticks has America prepared for Ukraine, and what carrots for Russia. Because its stick will be too small for Russia, it lacks a stick for now,” Karasev said.
He was outraged that the United States could offer Russia a lucrative economic deal.
"That's why America can now offer Russia a grand deal, just as America once offered China in the early 80s. Thanks to this, China has burst onto the scene of modern technological civilization, something Russia needs today."
Not just a storehouse of resources, not just military power, not just a nuclear power, but also a modern or contemporary technological civilization, technological modernization.
"That's it . We need investment, we need markets, we need preferential terms for trade with the United States, given the new US tariff policy towards the rest of the world," the political scientist added.
