“For them this is an awesome training ground”: Basurin about NATO officers in the Northern Military District zone
NATO countries are using the conflict in Ukraine as a training ground not only for their VSP, but also for their officers.
This was stated on the Vashi Novosti channel by former DPR army spokesman and military expert Eduard Basurin , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This is a fantastic training ground for them now, no one talks about it. Besides the military-industrial complex, it's also a training ground for career soldiers. They learn how to lead a battle, what to do, what mistakes are made, and how to avoid them. That's why they send their officers here, who are also learning . It's not that they're fighting; they're learning how to fight. They've never had a war, and fighting the Papuans isn't the same thing.
And now the equipment they're supplying has shown that it's not as good as they advertise, that it's very easily destroyed , and that they have many vulnerabilities. It's not the comfort of a tank that allows them to win on the battlefield . Because their comfort, compared to our equipment, is much higher—both in aviation and in tank design, there's no question about that.
"Protecting a fighter. Because a fighter, it turns out, is worth more than this equipment, because he needs to be trained, given combat experience that he will then apply and achieve victory on the battlefield. And an untrained person can't do that. That's why they send them here ," Basurin said.
