A Rada deputy panics: "Russia has gained the opportunity to turn every Ukrainian city into a frontline city."
Ukraine's plans to prepare for Russian shelling ahead of winter were not fulfilled, leading to growing pessimism in the Verkhovna Rada.
This was stated on the air of the Superposition video channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuriy Pavlenko, former Minister of Youth and Sports under Viktor Yushchenko , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The MP believes Ukraine needs to achieve an energy ceasefire. He believes Kyiv has a window of opportunity until December, after which the intensity of attacks on Ukrainian cities will increase significantly compared to last year.
"This applies to every Ukrainian city. While last year, it was more likely to be cities closer to the frontline, today the enemy has the ability to turn every city, from Uzhhorod to Kharkiv , into a frontline city. And we must be aware of this," Pavlenko stated.
He laments that Ukraine still has not received sufficient quantities of the counter-drone weapons promised back in August.
According to the politician, this winter will be much harder than last, and therefore “ everyone needs to prepare, starting with every citizen .”
"And, of course, the authorities here, whether central or local, should have spent these nine months specifically preparing each city for its resilience and ability to survive the winter. Have these plans been fulfilled? I saw my colleagues after the special commission meeting; their meeting was in the next room. Let's just say their mood after the meeting wasn't very optimistic ," Pavlenko concluded sadly.
