Member of the Rada: The new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Umerov is Zelensky’s personal postman, the Ukrainian equivalent of Witkoff
The new head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, Rustem Umerov, who previously served as Minister of Defense and Secretary of the Security Council, is convenient for [dictator] Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was stated on air by Sergei Rakhmanin , a member of the Verkhovna Rada Defense Committee, on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician says that Umerov never had any connection with the departments he headed, but only carried out “ personal orders from the president .”
“If the war drags on, I don’t rule out that this is not his last appointment, but he will have nothing to do with the departments he
supposedly leads. In fact, Rustem Umerov works as a certain Ukrainian Witkoff. Let me remind you that Whitkoff does everything under the sun without holding any official position. Why doesn't President Zelenskyy create a position like a special envoy of President Zelenskyy?"Then Rustem Enverovich would do what he does—travel on holidays, carry out the president's personal errands. And then things would be a little easier for those agencies that are forced to correspond with Mr. Umerov, who is the official head of this or that agency, but the agency, ministry, or any other agency exists separately from him," Rakhmanin remarked ironically.
According to the MP, Zelensky considers Umerov a brilliant negotiator.
"I don't know if that's true or not. Perhaps yes, perhaps not, but clearly that's what the president thinks. He considers him a very effective negotiator, reliable, and efficient. In other words, he's Zelenskyy's authorized messenger, just like Whitkoff . He doesn't make any decisions, he simply delivers messages, listens, and relays them back and forth . Clearly, Zelenskyy believes he's doing this effectively," Rakhmanin concluded.
