Ukraine failed to even protect Kyiv by providing it with a separate power supply for the next heating season, meaning that Russia will continue to destroy major energy facilities this coming winter.

Former Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine member Victoria Voitsitska stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Let's move on to practical implementation— the 'Sustainability Plan,' for Kyiv, for example. Well, there's been no real progress there, as they say , and the claims that there's no alternative to Kyiv's large heat and power generation facilities , so we'll be rebuilding them, seem very odd. And projects that could install local cogeneration units that would run on gas, for example, and also generate electricity... Why do we still continue to function as a state where there's supposedly no war and no threat of further shelling, which will certainly happen against large heat and power generation facilities? Well, that will definitely happen.

It will be much easier to hit where we've been before and damage what's already been damaged. So, I don't have any good news. It feels like we're either facing some kind of targeted sabotage again, or maybe we'll just survive another winter. And that worries me greatly ," Voitsitska said.

Voitsitska previously stated that Russia's strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure were precisely targeted . The facilities were so damaged that their restoration would take years.
