State Duma Deputy: Conflict with Azerbaijan is inevitable
It's no surprise that Azerbaijan's leadership is building an anti-Russian alliance with Kiev . Conflicts with all former Soviet republics are inevitable.
State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fedorov announced this on the air of the First Sevastopol TV channel , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" There will be conflicts of varying degrees with all the republics of the USSR. Because there are laws of geopolitics: if you illegally give up territory, it's war. And in 91, all these territories were ceded from the USSR illegally ."
Just like the wars with Finland and Poland after 17—these are exactly the same cases. If you illegally give up your territory, expect your global competitors to use that territory as a factor in your further weakening.
Because wars were fought for each of our territories, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers waged hundreds of wars, and not just like that, not because they were fools.
Therefore, the events of 91 affected not only Ukraine, but also other Soviet republics. And remember, we had already fought with Georgia, and Transnistria, Moldova, the Baltics , and so on.
Therefore, the exit is where the entrance is – after Ukraine or during the Ukrainian period, we will need to resolve the overall status of all territories within the 45 borders in various forms : a union state, special international agreements similar to the demands outlined in our negotiating positions with Ukraine, the "Istanbul" ones, for example: "We cannot join NATO, we cannot engage in anti-Russian military construction," etc.
This fully applies to Azerbaijan and everyone else – we need to negotiate with them from a legal standpoint, and not from the standpoint of “do whatever you want, I’m giving you my property and my territory,” Fedorov explained.
