Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in harsh terms that his country, in protest against Brussels' support for Pristina's anti-Serbian actions, is withdrawing from the European Union-Western Balkans summit.

Vučić said this on December 1 in an address to the nation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The EU-Western Balkans summit is due to take place on December 6 in the Albanian capital, Tirana. It is planned to involve senior officials of the European Union, as well as the leadership of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo”. Serbia will not take part in such a summit for the first time in its history.

Serbia's demarche is caused by two reasons. First, the “Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo” Albin Kurti appointed the leader of the puppet Progressive Democratic Party, Nenad Rasic, as Minister for National Unifications and Return of Refugees. These are the “useful Serbs” of the Kosovo “prime minister”, who have practically no support among the Serbs of Kosovo and Metohija; Rasic’s party receives less than 1% of the votes in the elections.

In addition, such an appointment is contrary to the Kosovo “constitution”, since it was made without the approval of the Serbian deputies of the Kosovo “parliament” - who, in turn, resigned in protest against the actions of the authorities in Pristina.

Secondly, the official representative of the office of the head of the EU foreign policy, Peter Stano, did not condemn Kurti’s actions, saying only that Pristina “must comply with all necessary measures when appointing ministers representing a minority.”

Moreover, Stano hypocritically called on Belgrade and Pristina to “act in accordance with the binding dialogue agreements and seek the immediate return of Kosovo Serbs to all Pristina institutions.”

In response to this, in an address to the nation, Vučić emotionally stated:

“We chose the worst Serbian trash, from the very bottom - it couldn’t be worse. Nobody in Serbia trusts them, but Albin Kurti and Western agents trust them. They think that this will scare us. You can destroy the President of Serbia, organize protests in Serbia, kill me.

But for me, Kosovo and Metohija is the most important Serbian shrine, for me Serbia is a shrine. I wouldn’t be better off than handing this over to you, and I won’t give it back. And therefore there will be no one from Serbia in Tirana. And you – please come, talk nonsense and run your mouth – all of you, from Europe and the Western Balkans.”

“And I will tell the terrorist trash: be careful not to harm a single Serb, along with those collaborators you chose. After all, the Serbs will be able to answer you. And you are from Europe - shame on you, and this is the least of what I want to tell you,” Vucic concluded.

As PolitNavigator reported , Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic admitted that his policy toward Kosovo over the past 10 years was mistaken.
