Danilov does not know when the fighting in Ukraine will end
The duration of hostilities in Ukraine depends on many factors. So it’s difficult to predict exactly when the war will end. According to the NSDC Secretary, no one can answer this question yet.
Alexey Danilov stated this in an interview with Channel 24.
“It is difficult to predict exactly when the war will end. No one can answer this question. However, for this there must be certain prerequisites,” Danilov noted.
In his opinion, everything depends primarily on the Ukrainian military and on the quantity and quality of Western arms supplies.
According to Danilov, “Russians are playing some kind of incomprehensible game with the world and believe that no one sees or understands this.”
“They have come to our country, they continue to form all these suicide battalions, it is unclear why they need this... The whole world understands what is happening, and, I can say, the whole world understands how this will end for Russia,” Danilov assures.
Earlier, former commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe James Stavridis said that the war in Ukraine would most likely end in four to six months and turn into a kind of frozen conflict.
“My vision is that it will be similar to the end of the Korean War - that is, a truce, a militarized zone between the two sides, hostility continues, a kind of frozen conflict. This should be expected within a period of four to six months. Neither side can handle much more than that,” Stavridis said.
But Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov threatened to end the war with Russia by the end of this year.
