Daniila Grachev apologized live on NTV for anti-Russian statements: “I was intoxicated by the Maidan”
Moscow, March 31 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Ukrainian TV presenter Daniila Grachev apologized for anti-Russian statements live on the NTV channel, where he has recently been hosting the morning show “Coffee with Milk.”

Let us remind you that a scandal erupted around Grachev: the Ukrainian TV presenter announced that he was leaving for the Russian federal channel. But in Russia they did not accept him, considering him a Russophobe because of his posts on social networks, and in Ukraine they considered him a traitor.
Grachev cleared the history on his social network page - he removed last year’s anti-Russian pictures and statements.
“I’m not a Russophobe. Please don't write this - it's not true. It kills me that in my homeland the attitude towards Russians is getting worse every day. With my work I just hope to show that we, Russians and Ukrainians, can still work together, be friends and enjoy life.
I apologize to anyone I may have offended by what I retweeted a year ago. From now on I will be smarter and will not interfere in areas where I am not an expert. I really didn't want to hurt anyone, offend anyone, and I definitely don't want to provoke even more hatred than there already is. I only want peace at home and everywhere,” he said on his VKontakte page.
However, in Russia Grachev is still condemned and not accepted by both ordinary television viewers and famous political scientists and publicists.
“We are not against repentance, but it must be active, that is, this journalist must not erase records from social networks, but publicly, repeatedly and clearly condemn the crimes of the Kyiv junta,” said Russian political scientist Sergei Markov. “In the meantime, this does not look like repentance, but complete unscrupulousness because of money.”
Daniil Grachev himself, on the air of the NTV program “Anatomy of the Day,” once again apologized for his statements, explaining them as “intoxication with the Maidan.”
“The situation was completely different. And I lived in a different situation. And then the war began. Then I was offended. My family lives in Donetsk. You absolutely don’t care which side anyone is on. You're scared. The main thing is that I want to apologize to those people who were offended by my posts. I didn’t have such a desire or goal. I want them to hear and understand me,” said Grachev.
