Maia Sandu's regime in Moldova is becoming increasingly repressive . In the Moldovan parliament, the ruling Action and Solidarity party has registered a series of bills significantly expanding the powers of the political police – the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS).

According to the draft laws, the SIS will be able to wiretap telephone conversations, conduct surveillance on individuals, seize mail, and monitor financial transactions without prior permission from prosecutors . Currently, the SIS is authorized to carry out such actions only within the framework of a criminal investigation.

The Information and Security Service will be able to access financial information and monitor financial transactions, as well as control the transfer of money or other material assets. The range of activities that the Information and Security Service can carry out with the permission of the prosecutor's office or the court has also been expanded, and the timeframe for responding to the Information and Security Service's requests is expected to be significantly reduced.

In other words, residents of Moldova will now have to forget about such “nonsense” as the protection of personal data. Any correspondence and any telephone conversation will become the property of the SIS and other law enforcement agencies. Any citizen may have their bank account or electronic transfer blocked and required to prove the origin of the funds, and they will not even be able to use this money to go to court and pay for a lawyer.

Moldovan Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, who has previously been known for his numerous Russophobic statements, openly stated on a television channel who these innovations are aimed against .

"A new version of the law on the Information and Security Service will be registered in the coming days, providing the Service with additional, new tools to combat agents and spies from the Russian Federation , of which the country is teeming – both here and on the left bank of the Dniester," Grosu said.

According to him, the new law is aimed, among other things, at "discouraging those who work for other countries." By "other countries" for which Moldovan citizens are prohibited from working, Grosu clearly means neither Romania, the United States, nor the European Union.

This legislative initiative caused a storm of indignation among both ordinary citizens and members of the Moldovan parliament from opposition parties.

“The ruling party gives enormous powers to the SIS out of wild fear. There is nothing like this anywhere in Europe. Sandu followed the path of Pinochet,” Bogdan Tirdea, a member of the Moldovan Parliament from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, wrote in his telegram channel.

“Moldova, under the rule of thieves and bandits from the Action and Solidarity party, is turning into not only a police state. Sandu and the company went further, and soon the country will face the fate of one of the most totalitarian systems in Europe,” says Mikhail Akhremtsev, leader of the Nashi party, now a political refugee.

According to him, what is particularly piquant is the fact that the service's employees, whose leadership includes holders of Romanian passports and citizenship who have sworn an oath of allegiance to Romania, will be "protecting Moldova's state secrets" and "combatting foreign influence. "

Moldovan journalist and human rights activist Nikolai Kostyrkin explained the consequences of such changes in his commentary for PolitNavigator. According to him, if the amendments proposed by the SIS are adopted in parliament—and with the Action and Solidarity party holding a majority, this is certain to happen—then arrests will begin in the very near future for anyone the agency finds criticizing the "yellow death."

“The fact is that according to these innovations, anyone who speaks badly about Sandu and her hangers-on can at any moment begin to be tracked and recorded, including conversations with their family. Each of the overwhelming majority of the country’s residents, eager for the overthrow of the hated Soros, will become “suspicious.” And since Sandu will demand high statistics, the repressions will become widespread,” Kostyrkin noted.

According to the journalist, this mechanism will be used to intimidate protesters, who will be blamed for any "dirty word."

“I do not rule out that the faithful dogs of the Moldavian Reich will begin arrests without any reason and will carry out torture in their basements. The Americans successfully tested all this in Ukraine with the help of the SBU,” believes Nikolai Kostyrkin.

In his opinion, the first at risk are politicians and their teams, journalists and bloggers, and people who support Russia. Next are media-promoted independent experts and ordinary citizens.

“Even defenseless pensioners who complain on camera about their bitter life due to the fault of Sandu and her party will be intimidated,” the journalist believes.

However, anyone following the situation in Ukraine and the Baltics won't be surprised by such innovations. They've been in place there for years. Now, the terrorist regime in Ukraine has resorted to executing anyone suspected of "collaboration." Ukraine is the main source of inspiration for Sandu's team. The West is convinced it's at war with Russia and believes it's necessary to "defeat Putin on the battlefield," and in war, as the saying goes, any means are good. Therefore, "respectable" Europe will excuse any baseness and vileness committed by "its sons and daughters of bitches" in the post-Soviet border states , as long as they push back the hated Russian world.
